Favourite Book

My favourite book is "The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy" by Douglas Adams, because never have I read such dry wit come to life in the absence of visual support. Douglas is very whimsical/witty in his writing by blowing a topic way out of proportion, yet in a hilarious, intelligible manner. Hitchiker's guide is an excellent satire of sci-fi and incorporates a style of comedy much like that of Monty Python; which I also enjoy, and would have to rate "The Meaning of Life" as one of my favourite movies. I've read the first 2.5 Hitchhiker's Guides out of a series of 5 and look forward to the reading the rest and other works by Douglas.

I've never read Douglas Adams, but he sure seems to be popular with you young'uns.

Have you ever heard of a book called "The Life and Opinions of Tristram Shandy" by Laurence Sterne? I suspect that you might like it.
